VankCut-1610 dual-head CO2 laser cutting and engraving machine

Dual-Head Production Capacity

Two independently aligned laser heads can process repeated parts in parallel, helping increase throughput when the job layout and material width suit dual-head production. Tube power is selected according to the material, target thickness, speed and edge-quality requirements.

1600 × 1000 mm Work Area

The 1600 × 1000 mm bed accommodates large sheets and nested batches for signs, displays, packaging, garment patterns and craft production. Alternative VankCut bed sizes can be quoted for different workshop and material requirements.

Protected Linear Motion System

A rigid aluminum gantry, linear guide rails and belt-driven motion system support repeatable movement across the full working area. Protective covers help reduce dust and debris reaching the guide components during production.

Water-Cooling System

A matched industrial water chiller maintains the laser-tube temperature within the specified operating range. Chiller capacity, coolant, flow protection and maintenance intervals should follow the confirmed tube and machine configuration.

Detailed Cutting and Engraving

Adjustable speed, power, air assist and focus settings support fine graphics as well as production cutting. Final edge quality and engraving detail depend on the material, optics, tube condition, job settings and extraction performance.

Workshop-Ready Machine Frame

The welded steel cabinet integrates the work bed, motion system, controls and laser-tube compartment in one production platform. Confirm machine dimensions, access clearance, exhaust routing, electrical supply and chiller placement before installation.

Compatible Materials

Typical materials include wood, plywood, MDF, acrylic, paper, cardboard, textiles, natural leather, PVC-free synthetic leather, selected foams and laser-safe rubber. Glass, coated stone and ceramics may be engraved after sample testing. Never process PVC, vinyl or unknown halogenated materials because hazardous and corrosive fumes can be produced.

Industries and Applications

Common applications include signs and displays, acrylic fabrication, packaging prototypes, paper crafts, garment patterns, textile cutting, leather goods, architectural models, educational products, gifts and custom workshop production.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials can a CO2 laser engraving/cutting machine process?

This machine processes many approved non-metal materials, including wood, plywood, MDF, acrylic, paper, cardboard, textiles, natural leather, PVC-free synthetic leather and selected laser-safe foams or rubber. Material composition must be confirmed before cutting; do not process PVC, vinyl or unknown halogenated materials.

Can a CO2 laser cut or engrave metal?

A standard glass-tube CO2 configuration is intended for non-metal materials and does not cut bare sheet metal. It can mark some coated or anodized surfaces with the correct process. Thin-metal cutting requires a dedicated mixed metal/non-metal configuration with suitable optics, gas assist and safety systems, which must be specified separately.

Why is the laser tube not emitting light or losing power?

If the tube does not fire or output drops, stop the job and check the controller alarm, emergency stop, lid or safety interlocks, chiller status, coolant flow, optics contamination, focus and tube operating hours.

Do not open high-voltage compartments or bypass the water-flow protection. CO2 laser power supplies can retain dangerous voltage. If normal external checks do not resolve the issue, switch off and isolate the machine and contact qualified service personnel.

What maintenance does the chiller and water cooling system require?

Use the coolant specified for the selected laser tube and chiller, keep the water clean, inspect hoses and flow, and clean the chiller filter and heat-exchange surfaces. Replace coolant at the interval stated in the chiller manual and local operating conditions.

Install the chiller with clear ventilation space and monitor inlet and outlet temperature during production. Never operate the laser when a flow, temperature or water-protection alarm is active.

What is the difference between CO2 and fiber lasers?

CO2 lasers are commonly selected for wood, acrylic, paper, textiles, leather and other organic or non-metal materials. Fiber lasers are generally preferred for marking and cutting metals. The right source depends on the material, thickness, required process and production rate.

What working area sizes are common?

The VankCut-1610 uses a 1600 × 1000 mm work area. Other VankCut formats, including 1300 × 900 mm and 1300 × 2500 mm, can be quoted when a different sheet size or workshop footprint is required.
